While our government is very fierce in putting down the Syrian regime, I wonder if it would be acceptable for Wall Street protesters to do this, throw rocks, vandalize government buildings, blockade roads, walk into airline offices and break pictures, loot foreign embassies, etc. I do support the freedom of the Syrian people, but the more I see, the more I think that the protesters are provacative much like the Russians and Chinese are saying, which is one reason why they vetoed the UN resolution calling for sanctions on Assad, raising concerns that the wording did not include anything about these wrong actions. ANY government has a right to respond to vandals, looters and thugs. Also there are serious concerns that the Syrian protests are being fanned out by al Qaida and terrorists. Many so called "peaceful" protesters have been videoed with guns and knives, and many IEDs have been detonated or located, and there are reports of armed clashes. Not really peaceful, shouldn't we be more careful what we supporting? If we call for this abroad, some liberals will get the idea this is a good idea on the homeland!
