Iran successfully launches second 'Rasad' satellite into orbit: June 15th, '11
The Iranian space agency has successfully launched the second 'Rasad' (observation) satellite into orbit.
Rasad2, designed and built by ISA, was launched by the Safir-e-Rasad satellite carrier on Wednesday, 15th.

I sense a certain regional power will be highly pissed off at this development.
Not so much because it can reach orbit but more because it can start providing independent real-time imagery.
Still 15 odd kilos is pretty small. Lets wait for the upsized version with the adaptive optics.
