If you are a Cowboys fan, you might want to take a pass on this upload. If you're not, watch and laugh.
This is supposed to be the year that Tony Romo finally takes his Dallas Cowboys over that final hump and into the Super Bowl, but if last night was any indication, they will be lucky to even make the playoffs.
It was not a completely disastrous night for "The Boys", as they did manage to hold Donovan McNabb and a retooled Washington offense to only 13 points, but the fact that they only managed to score seven points of their own all game is something that should have their fans worried.
And then there are the mistakes....And boy were there a lot of them.
First there was the abundance of yellow flags that were thrown against the Cowboys throughout the contest. I almost felt as though I was watching the Oakland Raiders in Cowboys uniforms (Dallas fans may cry at such a remark, but it is true!). And then there was those two incidents that occurred with no time left on the clock at the end of both the first and second halves.
With only a few seconds remaining in the second quarter, and the Redskins up 3-0, Dallas had the ball on their own 30-yard line in what appeared to be a typical "kneel down and go into the half" situation. Instead, they decided to run a dump-off to Tashard Choice, which resulted in a fumble return for a touchdown.
Score going into the half: Redskins 10, Cowboys 0.
After a Redskins field goal and a Cowboys touchdown, Dallas had the opportunity to score the game-winning touchdown with no time remaining on the clock. And it appeared as though they had done just that when Roy Williams caught a Tony Romo pass in the end zone, but it was waived off because of yet another holding penalty on the Cowboys' right tackle, Alex Barron.
Final score: Redskins 13, Dallas 7.
Here are the highlights of this embarrassing debacle. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
