Authorities say a 43-year-old former student of a small Christian university in Oakland opened fire at the school Monday, killing at least seven people.
Police Chief Howard Jordan said One L. Goh surrendered about an hour after the shooting at Oikos University. Jordan said a handgun was used, but said they had not yet recovered the weapon.
A police spokeswoman says at least seven people were killed in the shootings at Oikos University. Three others were injured.
Police first received a 911 call from the school at 10:33 a.m. Jordan called it an "extremely chaotic scene."
Jordan said there were about 35 people in or near the building when gunfire broke out. Of the seven fatalities, five died at the scene and another two at the hospital. Three wounded victims are in stable condition.

Exactly, the entire student body needs to sue the university and any governing body that is responsible for not allowing them to defend themselves. To deprive them of effective self-defense is to defacto take on that responsibility themselves, and they failed.
