The night before New year's Eve, Critical Mass took to the streets for
the monthly last Friday of the month ride. Due to this being the ride
with the longest night and shortest day of the year's rides. some bikes
were decked out in spectacular LED lights.

The ride went through U st, Chinatown, the disputed 3ed st "US Capitol
area," and the Mall before finally ending up at the White House. There,
the "Camp Anonymous" NDAA protest conducted nightly out of Occupy DC was
in full swing. Critical Mass stayed put to support them for most of the
remaining time of the event, dispersing only after one of the cop cars
thought to contain one of the two arrestees left the area driving very
fast like he was in a hurry to escape.
