National Day of Prayer May 5, 2011....who knew? Don't fret. Here is a video from nationaldayofprayer.org that explains what it is all about and how and why to do your part.

'Drop to your knees or God will kill us all' is the apparent message of nationaldayofprayer.org. Apparently christians can somehow stave off the Apocalypse and various natural disasters by praying. Leaving aside the obvious issue of god then being a narcissistic homicidal dictator who demands utter devotion and worship from his playthings on pain of death and world destruction including all the little babies and children, I thought the end of the world and Jesus coming back was the whole point for these people? I would think they would welcome a national day banning prayer.

The over the top melodramatics, special effects and music are a whole other ridiculous effort. But don't miss the fact that Washington and San Fransisco are apparently god's primary targets once he starts blowing the planet to bits.
