Citibank closed and Bank of America besieged as protesters close accounts in DC

On the 20th of October, both Stop the Machine and Occupy DC marched on bailed-out, non taxpaying banks while account holders inside closed their accounts.

Citibank was up first, with over 20 account holders closing their accounts while protesters from Stop the Machine on Freedom Plaza "took control" of the lobby at the Bank of America branch at 14th and G sts NW.

A couple hours later, Occupy DC marched from McPherson Square to the Bank of America at 18th and K sts NW, where at least two people were already inside closing their accounts. Unlike Saturday Oct 15, this time Bank of America stayed open, allowing two more people to enter the bank and close their accounts. One of the account hoderrs then burned his final statement from Bank of America outside the bank.

A Loomis armored truck was on the scene, possibly to bring cash to the bank if they had advance word that there was going to be some kind of run on deposits?

After all, no less than 24 accounts in big money, big bailout, no taxes banks were closed in just one day in DC!
