A vigil will be held Sunday for the unknown little girl whose body was found stuffed in a box in West Galveston Bay.

Tim Miller, the founder of Texas EquuSearch, and members of the Galveston County Sheriff's Office will place a cross and plaque that Miller built where she was found.

The vigil will start at 2 p.m. near Fat Boy's Bait Camp at 601 Jones Lake Road.

On Friday they released a composite sketch by HPD artist Lois Gibson.
If you recognize this child, please call the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said Baby Grace was a Sterlite brand, 92-quart tote locker that is blue with a black handle. The shoes the child was wearing were pink and white Tiara shoes made by Athletic Works. They had LED lights on the side and are a discontinued style that was only sold at Wal-Mart.

Baby Grace was wearing a size 2T pink or red crop top and a matching shirt with the Cherokee label.

Investigators believe the little girl was between 2 and 5 years old. She had long, blonde or brown wavy hair, was about 33 inches tall and weighed about 25 pounds.

The cause of death is still not known, but an autopsy showed at least one skull fracture.

The box carrying Baby Grace was found by a fisherman over the weekend during Harbor Walk’s first fishing tournament in West Galveston Bay. More than 75 boats lined the marina for the event.

Some of the participants were believed to have fished in the proximity of the body, so detectives are hoping to hear from as many of them as possible. They want to know if anyone saw anything suspicious around the island where the container was found.

The FBI has been asked to help in the investigation.

The pair of shoes the girl was wearing are pink and white Tiara shoes made by Athletic Works. The shoes have LED lights on the side.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers or the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office at (409) 766-2222 or (866) 248-8477
