  • Nazis made one HUGE mistake - they didn't PLAN to keep their conquests. Instead, they abused, enslaved and belittled their conquests. Is America doing the same? Maybe not in Korea, Granada, Serbia but how about Iraq and Afghanistan?

    • @Nepean109 In WWII Germany had one weak link, and made one mistake that cost them the war. Hitler was the weak link and not finishing Great Britain before moving on to The Soviet Union was the mistake that cost them the war. If Hitler had let his generals fight the war like the allies did Germay would have most likely won the war.

      People have thumbed that comment of your's down, but despite many of the modern fallacies of WWII, indeed, yes, you're right on the money, much of the vaunted Reich's "mechanized" military relied apon, you said it, horsies.

      :)

      PS: The US Army was the world's first truly fully mechanized combat force. US war planners saw what Germany had done to warfare and trumped them tenfold, in the end, through sheer superior industrial might.
