So, this suggests that Mars once had water. So, I guess, the Sun was bigger and more warming than it is now. So .... what? Does this mean that the Sun will shrink again and turn Earth into a frigid, lifeless rock like Mars -- anytime soon?

Well that's a stretch......on a crater site too? Come on are you serious? How bout a crack from a massive crater...don't see any evidence of water there my friend. I think that is reaching a little. I hope you do find water though.
