It's like going to hell every morning for the day. The trek is steep up and down the volcano, the fumes stink and the day's catch is worth pennies despite the harrowing work.

On the way back, the miners cross tourists who came to see the volcano. Two classes of people share the same spot on earth for a short time, without any interaction. Except for the smart guy who selects the best-looking stones, mounts them on a little stand and sells them to tourists for a higher price.
