I back tracked a little to show you some tidbits from my last few weeks in Vermont. The video picks up with my travels through New Jersey, DC, and North Carolina. In New Jersey my old roommate introduced me to some organic/community farmers and I spent a few days with them, eating like a king, weeding their gardens, picking wild raspberries, and partying. I have to say the southern hospitality is gonna have a tough act to follow after the New Jersey crowd surprised me. DC was nice, although I had a hell of a time finding my way, the people were great and it was nice to experience the nations capital, even if it was only in an attempt to avoid the rush hour traffic. Chester had a blast being a big dog in a big city, and all the extra attention that entailed. I drove through the night until passing out at a camp ground in Bell Isle North Carolina before heading to Cape Hatteras, again great people and great produce, I had a peach that popped when I bit it, unbelievably good. I'm a little disappointed I missed the striped bass run through Cape Hatteras, they told me they're all up in Ct where I had just stopped in to visit family before leaving on the trip, go figure. Additionally, theres not a tree in site, which means no fire tonight (i couldn't bring myself to pay 6 bucks for an armload of wood). They also really hate conservationists as the Piping Plover habitat preservation issue is a hot topic that I had the pleasure of discussing with several locals.
