Safe Mode: On
Mitt Romney's Massive...

"As Mitt Romney's refusal to release further tax returns becomes a
central issue in the presidential race, a related question first raised
in January remains stubbornly unanswered: How did Romney build such a
massive individual retirement account?

According to Romney's
disclosure documents, the candidate has between $20.7 million and $101.6
million parked tax-free in his IRA -- a significant proportion of his
total wealth, as noted by Mark Maremont in the Wall Street Journal."

  • How about the fact that 0bama, in his first official act as president, literally minutes after being sworn in, signed an executive order sealing all of his personal records? What say ye, Mr. Turkey dude? Sealed his birth records, college transcripts and everything else. Then he spent $2M (yes, two millions)out of his own pocket fighting legal battles to keep his past hidden.

Does this sound like the course an honest man -one who promised "transparency"- would take???

    How about YOU, M More..

    • @daveporter Romney doesn't have a chance, sorry to dissapoint. Obama is ahead in every poll.

Unless something dramatic happens from now until the election you'll have to deal with 4 more years.

  • Non issue for any voter with a brain. Of course this omits the leftist democrats who continue to blather away about this.

Tea Party is coming in November and your "free sheite" and reign of economic ignorance is coming to an end. But soon you will be able to get a damn job!

  • A central issue in the presidential race? Yeah, maybe if you don't want to talk about REAL issues, like the economy.

This is a diversion tactic because Obama can't talk about any successes.

IF not, you're clearly a communist.

      taxes= money

    • @heydoin

      'Taxes= money' Really?

      I know that.

I just don't care about what money Mitt Romney has. It's not important.

      Posted Jul-24-2012 By

    • @cswartz amount of money isnt the issue. Its a character issue.
making a 100 mill then paying no tax maybe legal.
But he cant preach to me that its fair to rest of taxpayers. And that he should be put in charge of the tax policy.
What other self serving acts will he do while in power?

While at Bain he made 100 million, Whats he going to do running the most power position in the world?

    • @heydoin if the issue is character obama will lose big...hes as corrupt as they come...but he has a D in front of his name so he gets a pass right? id like to know why he has a connecticut ssn yet has never lived here...wouldnt you?

      Posted Jul-24-2012 By

    • @heydoin

If it's a character issue, why aren't you focusing on Barack Obama?

The guy that lied about his mothers death, his fathers military service, his lack of writing any law reviews at Harvard, his connections with self-proclaimed socialists and communists, his house obtained by a felon, and why he spends tons of money every year to keep his college, travel, and medical records a secret.

Isn't that a bit more interesting?

  • This guy's a douche... All this attacking Mitt hiding his taxes and yet Timothy Geithner is a tax cheat himself! Fancy Nancy and her husband made ass loads with insider trading! Not to mention the Savior himself locked up all his school records, along with his entire past, making this President the least known President to ever run the most powerful country in the world. And this guy carries on like he's onto something! lmao

  • This is just another lefty manufactured outrage.

Didn't he release his tax forms when he ran for Governor?

Either way, If there was a real problem with his tax returns, the IRS would have handled it. The IRS loves to put rich guys in jail.

But in case anyone has missed it, he's rich. Get over it.

  • Surprising that people are so nonchalant about it. Yep, there are troubles pulling O's records. And yes there are massive issues surrounding Romney.

BOTH of these should trouble Americans, but it seems the wool is extra thick. ALL Americans should be questioning this stuff. It's not just Romney - it's the whole damned American politics thing.

  • You first have to understand that cheating the US government and hiding taxable incomes is endemic in the Mormon religion. Mormons are taught from the earliest ages that they owe no allegiance to this or any government... it is their cult that they pledge their fealty to. They are taught that it is perfectly okay to take oaths and make pledges of allegiance that they have no intention of honoring.

They also have no compunction whatsoever about lying to non-Mormons or cheating them in business More..

Let's not forget John Kerry (net worth $194 million) who lives in Massachusetts but goes out of his way to moor his $7 million yacht in Rhode Island to skip out on paying $500,000 in taxes if he were to keep it close to home. Let's see, lives right near Boston harbor, has a vacation home on Nantucket island both great places it would seem to keep one's 76 foot luxury yacht but no, he keeps it in another state.
      How does this make sense?

    • @ValleyBlacksmith

So the best you can say for Romney is that he's just as big of a tax cheat as John Kerry.

That's a good reason to vote for him.

      Posted Jul-24-2012 By

    • @EventHorizon2012
Tell the world you didn't vote for John Kerry ($194 million), 1%er, with much enthusiasm.
Tell the world you don't admire Michael Moore ($50 million), 1%er.
Or Al Gore the fiction writer ($100 million), 1%er.
Seems that all of your favorite chaps are Wall Street whores.

Oh, one other mention, let's not overlook the fountain of backroom money, George Soros. Born a Hungarian Jew who saw his family rounded up and trooped off to die in the camps. One might think that would leave a More..

    • @ValleyBlacksmith

Look VB... my comment AND the the video were about Mitt Romney.

You've manage to completely ignore my original comment and write a small novel featuring everyone from John Kerry to Michael Moore and Al Gore.... not to mention a biography of George Soros.

The subject being discussed on this thread is Mitt Romney's bid for the Presidency... not whether liberals do the same kinds of things.

If you have anything to say in response to my original comments regarding Romney's More..

  • Bunk. Obama and all the Democrats refuse to release papers and information of their own so there is no reason for Romney to.

  • simple:
the assets were not valued properly when they were placed within the untaxed IRA

    stated value = .01
    actual value = 100

if done properly, you have a LOSS on your tax returns. (thats what he is hiding)
Hence NO taxes paid. All value is placed and recognized within the IRA.

  • All Romney needs to do is to Seal his tax records.

It would force Obama into a Checkmate situation.

And the media hype for that matter.
