Here in America, all that padding makes us look like bunch of sissy's. Might aswell through in a handbag to complete the outfit.
And don't get me started with nascar racing, big left turn for eternity... kinda like watching paint dry when compared to F1 racing.

@MudMan Um, helmets are basically used as weapons in American football. The players become braver with more protection, thus the hits are usually harder. Plus, it's a lot more enjoyable to watch then seeing men in short shorts tackle each other with their faces in someone's crotch.

Except for the fact that it's not called football...it's called rugby. So really, it's a completely different sport. So OBVIOUSLY they are two completely different sports that vary in rules, regulations, etc.. We don't look at baseball and say "this is how real men play cricket" lol. Typical. @ComDiver Boy please, we play with no pads as kids in the US. It is not until we join a team that pads are introduced. And we need pads because the hits are harder, faster, and brutal. These rugby players hold back due to risk of injuring themselves in a hit. Not so for American football. You fools wouldn't be able to keep up.

I once was a reserve player for London Irish although I never really was that good enough to make it first team. But this question came out from a group of American's who were visiting us about which sport is the hardest.
