Miners Forced To Attend Romney Rally, Don't Get Paid For The Day
"Earlier this month, Mitt Romney was welcomed for a campaign event at the Century Mine in Beallsville, Ohio, by hundreds of coal workers and their families. Now many of the mine's workers are saying they were forced to give up a day's worth of pay to attend the event, and they feared they might be fired if they didn't, according to local news radio WWVA.
The claims have been mostly denied by Rob Moore, Chief Financial Officer of Murray Energy Company, which owns the mine. He acknowledges that workers weren't paid that day but says no one was made to attend the event. Well, kind of...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

People seem to forget that all the rights that workers have now have been fought for and won by the unions, paid vacation,health and safety,sick pay,and so on.
Non of these things were given by the bosses and if Romney gets in and the unions destroyed they will all be taken away again.
Why do people equate unions that represent tens of thousands of men and women giving donations the same as a rich owner giving money?

@pinkskin - also, hundreds if not thousands died getting rights for miners. The government actually machine-gunned union miners in West Virginia for striking during WW1. And the mine owners hired the Pinkertons to kill, frame, prosecute and execute union mine leaders for decades.

Obama is destroying the coal industry.Any miner who would have refused to go deserved to to be replaced.That said,there is no data to support that any miners did not wish to attend that I'm aware of-only that they were required to go.
