A former Police Chief and District Judge in North Dakota pleads guilty to molesting a girl over the course of five years...

Randall Hoffman had been charged with 52 sex crimes against a girl.
He changed his plea to guilty on three charges: Continual Sex Abuse of a Minor a class AA felony, Attempted Gross Sexual Imposition and one count of Corruption of a Minor.
Prosecutors asked to dismiss 49 counts of Corruption of a Minor because Hoffman pleaded guilty to the three most serious crimes.
Authorities say Hoffman began molesting a girl when she was 12.
He sexually assaulted the girl numerous times from 2005 to 2010.
Prosecutor Jonathan Byers says the victim was willing to testify if the case would have gone to trial.
Hoffman was the Eglin police chief during the time he sexually assaulted the girl.
Hoffman has spent the last couple months at a sex offender treatment program in Minneapolis.
However, Judge Thomas Schneider has ordered Hoffman to return to the Mercer County jail while he waits to be sentenced.
