Very few helicopters can even begin to do stunts like those. That is really outstanding. Sheer engine power is a factor, but there's way more to it than just that.

@NotJim main rotor head and blades play a huge role in this type of flying. i believe the westland lynx is one of the few helicopters able to perform a loop de loop

@morefirejules08 For a time, I worked with an accomplished helicopter and jet pilot. He taught me a lot (more than he probably thought) about the dynamics of helo flight. Was awhile back; at the time he said loops (and rolls too, I believe) had been accomplished only a few times in helicopters; that for most machines it's near-certain death to attempt.
I don't recall which, but he said some military choppers that were unusually nimble and with a big power-to-weight ratio could 'supposedly' d More..
