Chinooks was hit by enemy small arms fire and caught fire. This is from
the Apache (call sign Phantom) following our Chinook (call sign
Mustang). We were able to safely land and egress the Chinook. Our
downed aircraft recovery team came out and repaired the aircraft enough
for us to fly it back to Kandahar for full repairs later that evening.
