The first home is that of captain Edward Smith,who went down with the Titanic,The second is Bruce Ismays,Who owned the ship.Ismay saved himself,and jumped in a life boat.Although cleared by a board of inquiry,he never lived it down.This shows how close their homes where at one time.Notice the blue plaques on the walls of the houses,.These houses overlook the river,maybe this is why they where chosen by Edward Smith,and Ismay?
