An accident has occurred in Lugazi Sugar plantations along Jinja road
highway involving a fuel-laden tanker that was heading to Kampala from
Mombasa.

The driver and the turn boy were both critically injured and have been rushed to Kawolo hospital in Lugazi.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control as he was descending a slope and he swung the massive vehicle off the highway in a bid to halt it.

By the time WBS arrived at the scene, police was battling with the neighboring communities who are busy siphoning fuel in jerry cans.
