The Great Railroad at Work Pt2 1942

This portion of the film finishes up the trip of the Yankee Clipper, showing scenes inside Grand Central Terminal (GCT), both trackside and in the switching/signaling rooms. I found this part to be most fascinating.

The last part of the movie shows freight operations on the western side of NH territory, including the car float operations in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, as well as transfers at the Maybrook terminal in upstate NY. You can see an ancient NH electric switcher in operation at the car floats, and an Erie steam engine at Maybrook.

Grab some more goodies and setle down to watch the trains - ding ding! all'board ..
