For the second time in a week, a small plane has crashed into a neighborhood near the North Las Vegas airport.
The FAA says the twin-engine Piper Navajo landed on a car parked near Jones and Cheyenne, then hit an empty house.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue confirms there was one person on board the plane.
Last Friday a crash killed three people when an experimental plane went down near the airport.
Update:
According to fire officials on the scene, the pilot was the only person in the plane and it appears no one was home at the time of the crash.
The twin engine Navajo had just taken off from North Las Vegas Airport. Witnesses saw the plane hit powers lines in the 2800 block of N. Jones. It then hit a parked car and crashed between two houses, bursting into flames.
The fire quickly went to three alarms but has since been put out.
