Pat Robertson on Christian Bigotry in "SNL Skit"

"700 Club" host Pat Robertson says a "Saturday Night Live" skit in which
Jesus urged Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to give him some space amounted
to "anti-Christian bigotry that's just disgusting."
"If this had been a Muslim country and they had done that, and had Muhammad
doing that stuff, you would have found bombs being thrown off... and bodies on
the street," said Robertson, an influential figure among conservative Christians
and former Republican presidential candidate.
The skit, which aired Saturday, featured Jesus visiting the Broncos locker
room and explaining that he mostly answers prayers now wherever he gets them
most -- places like beauty pageants and football games. He says that he's been
influencing the outcome of Broncos games, but only in the fourth quarter, when
Tebow most needs his help, and jokes that New England Patriots coach Bill
Belichick is the devil.Jesus also urges the Broncos to work a little harder, telling Tebow to read
the playbook.
"The Holy Bible is my playbook," says Tebow, played by Taran Killam.

"That's great," replies Jesus, played by Jason Sudeikis. "But you need to
read the regular playbook. Seriously, okay? I'm doing all the work here."
Jesus also credits kicker Matt Prater for the Broncos success, telling him,
"I pray to you, brother."
"Wow, you pray to me?" says Andy Samberg's Prater. "I didn't know that."

"That's because I'm not in everyone's face about it," Jesus responds, looking
pointedly at Tebow.
