On November 13, the Black is Back coalition marched from Malcolm X Park to the White House, calling Obama a sellout and more for continuing the wars and bank bailouts of George W Bush.

Many of the chants and speeches focused on the rampant police abuse aimed at people of color in the US. When the march reached Lafayette Park, the SS was very insistent that no part of the march ever touch Penn Ave, and later two bike cops and a foot cop close-surrounded one person for what appeared to be permit discussions. This sort of intimidation by the police seems intended to keep people "in their place" if they dare to criticize the President.

For teabaggers to criticize Obama is one thing, for Black Nationalists to chant "Victory to Iraq" and call him "Obomba" seems to be quite another in the eyes of the cops, who were no doubt also very unhappy with the strong criticism of police torture and murder of people of color in this country.
