Here is a video report on threats by North Korea that “all-out war” will ensue if South Korea retaliates for the sinking of a South Korean ship by North Korea. North Korea denies having sunk the ship.
North Korea has 1,000,000 troops, 70% of which are within 70 miles of the demilitarized zone. The U.S. has 28,500 troops on the other side of the line.
Analyst Victor Cha said: “This is probably the worst provocation since the days of MacArthur – since the end of the Korean War. As the White House has said this is a blatant violation of the armistice.”
Obama’s strategy of appeasement does not seem to be working so well. Could that be why the North Koreans would feel they can get away with this?
