CCTV,March 25/09:TEXT FROM SOURCE(Springfield, MO)...A rude interruption to the business day for Springfield Music today, when a car crashed through the front of the store.
Springfield police say a driver suffered an apparent medical emergency, touching off the crash. The woman was driving east on Montclair when she was stricken.
Her car crossed Fremont without stopping, into the parking lot for Springfield Music, and crashed into a car parked just outside the store. That second car was pushed into the business.
"My first thought was to run," said Donovan Bankhead, vice president of Springfield Music. "If that car hadn't been parked there, she probably would have come all the way through and we would have had a drive-through," he said good-naturedly.
No one inside the store was injured in the crash. The woman driving the car was taken for medical treatment.
