New figures released Monday show that more than 36,000 people have registered to vote in Arizona since the sales tax election in May. That brings the overall total to more than 3.1 Million. Some parties have gained, and some have lost.
In just three months the way Arizona voters identify themselves politically has changed. New figures released from the Arizona Secretary of State's office show that since May 18Th the independents added more than 25,000 voters leaving them with a total of 953,000 registered voters in Arizona.
The Republican Party added more than 25,000 voters bringing their overall total to 1.1 million.
The Democrats lost 500 voters, still their number remains more than 1 million.
Jeff Rodgers of the Democratic Party acknowledges the Republicans have more interesting primary races. The republicans have a different take on the voter registration numbers. Tucson voter opinion on the shift in numbers are mixed.
