I remember that video in which a psychotic vietnam vet who was driving a white pick up truck takes out his shot gun and kills a young police officer. Hearing that officer scream and then gasp for air as he was dying was quite unsettling to say the least.

lol there are many jobs more dangerous and more deserving of respect than a officer of the law ...like all the people that died making our dams or infrastructure roads ..bridges ,,apartment towers ...power lines... when those people die it is hardly ever heard ... but i guarantee you they did it bravely and they had to do it skillfully enough so other people dont die... ..everyone knows the risk of their jobs if they are smart ...officers of the law follow orders and most times are usally clean More..

im not saying police officers deserve more respect than other people working under hazardous conditions its just that ive seen so many negative comments aimed toward law enforcement officers i thought i would stand up for them considering they do for us every day and i wasnt attacking or trolling you in any way when i read your comment it felt right and i usually dont dignify most comments with a response

I read that in the pending lawsuit (lol you know they sued) It was said that of the 2 dog handlers there that night, the first one refused to deploy his k9. I don't blame him. The man repeatedly threatened to shoot the dog and the police if they did.

Oh no, in the US you need to pop open the 1000-Round crate and use every single bullet... You would think police officers are trained to have gun-discipline, but it seems like after the first shot, every officer feld the need to empty their gun in the general direction... Horrible police work.
