Highlights from Day One and Two in Kabwe, Zambia

Sometimes a President will try to go under the radar so the reporters won't know what he is doing, when he contributes time and effort for a charitable cause. Not seeking glory for his contribution to mankind.

On the other hand, a Resident like Obama would most certainly would take full credit...even for the work others had done! After Bush leaves..he will go over there to beg for money.

Video from the first two days of the refurbishment project at Ngungu Health Center in Kabwe, Zambia, led by President and Mrs. Bush. Following the refurbishment, Ngungu will open a clinic to provide screening, diagnosis and treatment for cervical cancer. President and Mrs. Bush are in Africa to raise awareness for Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon, an initiative led by the George W. Bush Institute with PEPFAR, UNAIDS, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure that aims to reduce cases of cervical cancer and save lives on the continent of Africa.

  • Wow.... Thank you for sharing this and bringing it to our attention.

After all of the trash people especially the current resident of the white house have said about President Bush it is nice to see him as the man he truly is.

He looked like he was putting in an honest day’s work right there, and Laura has never looked better, and sure as hell doesn’t look like she is 65.

  • Bush is a good and decent man. He won't go down as the greatest President in history, but the guy was a leader. Say what you will, but I miss W.

Too bad you have no clue what you are talking about. Iraq was a United Nations sanctioned war! Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the UN comprised of nations around the world? So how was he lying to the whole world? Go throw a shrimp on the barbie and let the adults talk now...

    • @trhew sorry pal the Iraq war was never sanctioned or approved by the UN, unlike other conflicts, the closest you guys came was the UN condemnation of the Iraqi WMD program prior to invasion, check your facts! happy 4th july yankee!

  • Good for him..

But I do have to say he has a lot to make up for.

Still though it's always cool to see a former President do something that would actually involve work for the benefit for other people.

To bad he never kick some people in the ass for being slow with help here in the U.S. for helping disaster victims..

  • His PR machine wasn't so low key when he was pushing for the invasion of Iraq. How many American/Allied hero's and Iraqi civilians died in that little operation? He's got a lot of blood to wash of his hands.

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."

    • @Fire37Rescue yes the military industrial complex certainly has dominated American foreign policy/intelligence analysis in the last twenty years, but its only the Republican Party that carries out their bidding. Its easy to talk in Congress - How many actual invasions have been launched under Democrat Presidents in the last twenty years? None. Democrats talk but its Republicans who start wars.

I see that you are new to this quid pro quo of Liveleak.Challenge Accepted. Oh yeah, You Suck.In 20 years, there has only been one other Democratic Administration.
      Here ya go:
The Battle of Mogadishu took place under Democrat Bill Clintons Presidential Admin in 1993.During the operation, two U.S. helicopters were shot down by rocket-propelled grenade attacks to their tail rotors, trapping soldiers behind enemy lines. This resulted in an urban battle that killed 18 Americ More..

    • @Fire37Rescue First of all I said Democrat Administrations in the last twenty years, plenty of Democrat Administrations have carried out aggresive non-UN operations, LBJ being the leading example.

But in all your prattle about the Democrat approved operations which occurred in the mid-90s do you notice how you have to keep saying UN? That is because the operations in Somalia and the Balkans were UN operations. They were not US led nor initated. This is unlike the forceful Republican unilateral More..

WWI,WWI and the Vietnam War were not United Nations wars and those three wars combined a grand total of 591,728 US Military Deaths.
