The proving ground for a unique experiment with bears in the wild, is a huge chunk of fenced taiga, in which scientists put some brown and Himalayan bears.

All are yearlings, whose mothers are likely to have been killed by poachers.

The main condition of this experiment is to reduce animal contact with people to a minimum, allowing for more natural behavioral development. Moreover, scientists for the first time are able to
observe the progress of relations of two different species of bears (brown and Himalayan).
