2005 Hurricane Katrina: Door-to-Door Weapons Confiscation - Will It Happen Again?

After the September 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans, Police and Louisiana National Guardsmen were ordered to find people who stayed behind - even if their properties were on dry ground and undamaged - and take their guns away. This blanket ordered was obeyed by "the authorities" with some reluctance but no hesitation. No one was shot but one can imagine it easily could have happened.
If disarmament happened once in the USA, in direct defiance of the second amendment, it can and will happen again. Katrina was obviously a natural disaster or what insurance agencies refer to as an "act of God", but our government could easily manufacture/engineer a false-flag operation as an excuse for total disarmament at the state or even national level.
Weapons confiscation - merely a fluke or a sign of things to come?
