Looks like the dog has "distemper." It affects the nervous system and can create seizures like this. But, I am not a vet, nor do I play one on television.

Poor dog. Looked like he was having a seizure which would explain his confusion with entering the store. Made a good recovery it would seem at the end. I had a mix many years ago that would have an occasional seizure like that. All you could do was stay with him and keep him from hitting his head on things until it was over.

@BloodyPeasant great way to get chomped. Even your own dog, if injured, should be muzzled if you pick it up. Pain makes creatures do shit they normally wouldn't.

@BloodyPeasant my friend was assisting aguys injured sog by taking it to a compadionate bet she knew. As she took the rottie out of the back it grabbed her one arm, crushing the humorous. Then it turned and got her other arm almost completely severing it...if not for three adult male passer-bys it would have killed her. She kept both arms but one is still gimpled. Small dog is another story..I mean it can hurt but you wont lose limbs.
