AIPAC Dinner gala gets protest and street disruption

On the evening of March 5, protesters returned to AIPAC at the
Washington Convention center. This gala is reputed to attract about half
of Congress, and some of the other attendees had to run a guantlet of
protesters.

At 1:42 in the video, one of the AIPAC'ers swings his arm at my camera but his swing is short, due to my (off-camera) left arm guard.

Several times, traffic on K street was interrupted by protesters, but never for more than a few minutes at a time Police did NOT like it when a small detachment of protesters discovered the main screening checkpoint on L street, but their "orders" to not proceed north on 7th st were defied without consequences.

  • Americans need to free themselves of the parasitic leech that is AIPAC. Shake off that horrid double-faced group that ensures that the US taxpayer pays for Israel's religious extremism and land grabbing. No doubt the purpose of this get together was to bribe/threaten the congressmen in to agreeing to send more US personnel to their deaths in the Midde East once Israel bombs Iran.

  • I am anti war, but there is a small part of me that wants israel to attack iran. With a bit of luck, the US would sit back and leave israel to defend itself when it has Iran, China and Russia coming for some payback.
I honestly believe that the removal of one country would lead to much more peace and far less deaths in the long run.

    • @Othman For the most part I am completely against armed conflict. In this situation, my conscience can justify it.
I also dont agree with Irans nuclear policy. Uranium reactors are dangerous and are not the way forward for nuclear technology.
Even more than I disagree with Iran, Israel is out of line with their posturing. Their attempt to demand support from the US is not right. They must be aware of the chain of events that will follow an israeli strike on iran. Anyone promoting, of gleefully More..

  • Come on American's quit turning the other cheek to these AIPAC blood thirsty, media manipulating, region destabilizing, nation destroying, child killing, tax wasting, financial puppet masters, they threaten your national security more than any other organisation or fundamentalist group, and they're supporting the limiting of American and European freedoms through their political and financial influence.
