Thailand won't press charges against Google for offensive clips about the Thai king on video-sharing website YouTube.

Last month authorities blocked the YouTube website in Thailand over the video postings which were in violation of Thai law which prohibits any disrespect towards the country's Royal family. The military government says it won't charge the company but will look at pursuing the individuals who posted the material.

YouTube has agreed to block four clips which Thailand says insulted the king, but says others will stay as they were political in nature and did not mock King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The incident has raised concerns about censorship in Thailand which has been run by a military government since last September.
